Gavin Kelly is to deliver his Inaugural Lecture as Professor of Latin Literature and Roman History at the University of Edinburgh, entitled ‘Late Roman History and Latin Philology’. He will argue that recent scholarly developments make the present a particularly good time to study philology, especially late antique philology.
